Ross High host the annual Active Schools Trampolining Compeititon in partnership with CETC
On Friday 3rd June, City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club ran the 2nd Annual Schools Trampoline Competition. CETC coach Lauren Millar organised the event with the support of other coaches from the club.
The competition welcomed over 85 participants from 39 different schools (from Nursery through to Secondary School). The event was open to all Active Schools Classes, recreational classes and Elite Gymnasts from CETC allowing everyone to take part in one local event.
There were 6 different categories in the competition, from beginner through to elite, showcasing the pathway from Active Schools grassroots participation level right through to competitive club level.
It was a fun competition for all the gymnasts and the day ran smoothly, even finishing ahead of Schedule! All gymnasts received a participation certificate and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at each level received a medal.
This year’s winning schools were:
1st Place – PRESTONPANS INFANT SCHOOL
2nd Place – Dunbar Primary School & Lasswade High School
3rd Place – Burgh Primary School
It was a great day for everyone involved and it couldn’t have taken place without the help of the fantastic CETC parent volunteers – THANK YOU!
Thanks also to Lauren Millar for her organisation and to the other CETC coaches who gave up their time to support the participants on the day.
