Two Elite DMT gymnasts, selected to represent Great Britain at the 2015 World Championships.
Two Elite DMT gymnasts, CIARA DONLEVY & CAITLIN O’BRIEN, from City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club, based at Meadowmill Sports Centre, have been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2015 World Age Group Trampoline, DMT & Tumbling Championships. The event, which will showcase the best in the World, will take place in the Area Fyn, Odense, Denmark from 3rd – 6th December 2015.
Club Head Coach, Lauren Jeffrey, who was recently awarded ‘Performance Coach of the Year’ at the Edinburgh Sports Awards 2015, has been selected as GB coach for the DMT teams travelling to both the World & World Age Group Championships.
Lauren, Ciara & Caitlin are the only 3 members from a Scottish club, representing Great Britain at World Championships for either Trampolining or DMT, in junior, senior or coaching selections.
Ciara & Caitlin recently competed at the British Trampoline, DMT & Tumbling Championships in Liverpool on 12th & 13th September, each performing 6 complete double-double passes, against very stiff competition, to secure a place on the podium.
Caitlin took 2nd place and the Silver medal in the Ladies DMT 17-18 category, with Ciara winning the Gold medal & British Championship title in the same category.
The girls will be training at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire, before travelling to Portugal in October as part of the GB team taking part in the Loule World Cup (age group competition), prior to the World Age Group Championships in December.
