East Lothian Falcons Pathways Rugby

The East Lothian Falcons Pathway rugby squad selected for May Pathway fixtures.

Falcons Rugby

The East Lothian Falcons squad was recently selected to represent East Lothian in the national pathway fixtures to be played in May. The squad selected is made up of current U15 players who will progress into the National Academy U16 regional programme at the start of next season. The boys selected into the squad have been through various camps in order to reach this stage. They attended a development camp during the February break as well as the East Lothian April skills camp held over 3 days. There were then 2 final selection sessions at the end of April to finalise the squad for the upcoming fixtures.

The East Lothian Falcons pathways squad has performed well during this programme in the past with many national age grade players being produced by the region. This is just the beginning of the jouney for some of these boys and hopefully they will go on to bigger and better things in the future. The aim of the programme is to expose the boys to a higher intensity of training and match conditions and improve their skill levels and tactical understanding of the game.

The fixtures for the East Lothian Falcons are taking place at Lasswade Rugby Club on the evening of the 13th May and at Gala Rugby club on the evening of the 27th May.  More details can be found on the SRU website at www.scottishrugby.org .
