CETC's Caitlin O'Brien selected for the GB Junior DMT Team and Lauren Jeffrey as team coach
City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club gymnast, 16 year old Caitlin O’Brien, who trains at Meadowmill Sports Centre with the Club, has been selected for the Great Britain Junior DMT (double-mini trampoline) team travelling to Daytona, Florida, for the World Age Groups Trampoline, DMT & Tumbling Championships.
Caitlin is the only gymnast from a Scottish Club selected for either the Junior or Senior Trampoline or DMT GB teams for Worlds. Caitlin is also the only Scottish club member of the current GB Junior DMT Squad.
Club Head Coach, Lauren Jeffrey who is a teacher at Knox Academy in Haddington will also be travelling to Daytona in November, having been selected as a Junior DMT coach for the Great Britain team for the World Age Group Championships.
Both Caitlin & Lauren are thrilled at being selected for the GB team, and training & preparation for the event is now well under way, including 2 residential camps at the National Sports Centre in Lilleshall, Shropshire.
