New Graduate Joins Football Development

Lorna Esson has successfully joined East Lothian Football Development as the Graduate Development Officer in a full time post for the next 12 months.

Graduate Joins Football Development

The graduate position that is supported by the East Lothian Works and the Scottish Football Association will see Lorna work alongside the Football Development Officer in East Lothian to help continue growing the game in the district.

A key part will also be supporting the development of the Girl's and Women's clubs and teams and hopefully increasing the number of girls playing the game.

Lorna brings a wealth of coaching experience and knowlege, she already holds her UEFA B Licence and is currently sitting her UEFA Goalkeeping A Licence, she will be one of very few females in the country to hold this qualification once completed.

A former Hearts Ladies first team goalkeeper, Lorna has worked as a Community and Regional Performance Coach for the SFA, Midlothian, West Lothian and East Lothian Councils whilst completing a Sports & Exercise Science degree at Napier University.

We welcome Lorna to the team and we are sure Football in East Lothian will go from strength to strength over the next 12 months.
