Dunbar and Gullane head to Selkirk
The 2017 Hockey P7 Regional Finals tournament was held on Thursday 18th May at Selkirk High School. Reigning champions, Dunbar Primary School, along with fellow East Lothian school Gullane Primary headed down to sunny Selkirk for the morning.
The sun shone and ten teams representing East and Mid Lothian, the Borders and Edinburgh were all looking to take the trophy home. The standard of hockey was extremely high with some very exciting play as the teams battled their way to become this year’s P7 Regional Winner. In a nail biting final and lots of cheering, the Dunbar team battled their way to victory, becoming very well deserved champions again.
A big thank you to Janet Jack, the Borders Hockey Development Officer and her team for hosting such a great morning. Elliot Baker, the East Regional Hockey Development Manager at SHU came down to watch the games and present the cup to Dunbar. It was a fabulous event with great sportsmanship from all the teams.
