Scotland Start For Kirsty Morrison

Kirsty Morrison makes her first International start for Scotland Womens U16's at UEFA Development Development Tournament.

Kirsty Morrison Scotland

The week long tournament held at Oriam, the National Performance Centre, featured Austria, Czech Republic, Iceland and Scotland with Kirsty making her first national start against Iceland in the second game of the tournament.

Having come on at half-time in the first game against Austria Kirsty performed well enough to impress team manager Pauline Hamill and keep her place to start the next game.

Unfortunately her debut was curbed early due to a nasty injury in the first half of the game and also forced her to sit out the last game against the Czech Republic but that did not affect her enthusiasm and stayed on with squad to cheer them on in the last game and said she thoroughly enjoyed being part of the whole experience.

Having won 2 and lost 1 she definitely played her part in what was a very successful week for the Scots.

Wednesday, 22 February 2017: Scotland v Iceland 3-0
Friday, 24 February 2017: Scotland v Czech Republic 2-0

Super focused, Kirsty already has her eyes firmly set on working hard to make the Womens U17 squad for the UEFA Euro Preliminaries held in Latvia in a group that will feature  Latvia, Slovakia and the small matter of our old rivals England.

Having made the step up at club level to Hibernian Ladies Development Squad for the coming season she is making great progress and it's great reward for all her hard work and dedication.

A special mention must be made to our physios within the PAiS programme as Kirsty was very keen to have them take a look at her injury and give her the rehabilitation programme that she can work on to get back to full fitness such is her faith in the work that they do.
