Swimmers excel at Scottish Summer Meet

Swimmers smash personal bests at final meet of the season

Last weekend East Lothian Swim Team travelled to Aberdeen for the Scottish Summer Meet. For many of the ELST swimmers, this was the final meet of the season. Over the course of the 3 days, the 11 ELST swimmers won 11 medals and had 29 top 10 finishes. There was numerous personal best times, with many of the swimmers breaking pb’s in the heats and then again in the finals resulting in a large amount of time taken off their previous best swims.

Sean Craigmile (14) had a fantastic meet winning 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals with personal best times in every event.

Christen Russell (14) was on great form over the weekend, gaining personal best times in all three Breaststroke events, taking 2 Golds in the process.

Teammate Bridget Lemasurier (14) made finals in all three breaststroke events and medalling in the 50m Breaststroke.

Fraser Samuel (18) smashed his previous best times throughout the weekend, producing some excellent swims.
