Level 1 Coaching Assistant Course in East Lothian

The course will take place on the 2nd, 3rd and 31st of March at Meadowmill Sports Centre.

The level 1 coaching assistant course is the starting point for people who want to get into tennis coaching and become a coaching assistant. It will train people to: Organise tennis activity constructively and safely. Plan and deliver a structured lesson under the guidance of an accredited coach.

About The Qualification

This qualification is an introduction to tennis coaching and is aimed at people who are enthusiastic about tennis and want to help a coach deliver Mini Tennis.

If you are a parent who wants to help their children enjoy and improve their Mini Tennis, a teacher working within a school or you want to help the coach at your club or in your local park then this course will give you the information and skills you require.

Duration of Course

• 3 days
• 3 hours coaching experience between day 2 and day 3

Course Pre-Requisites

• Candidates must be a minimum of 16 on the first day of the course
• Have a CRB Enhanced Disclosure less than 12months old or have a signed letter of deployment from the club where coaching experience will be undertaken
