Athletics Success Down Under
In a time of 15.14 seconds, Maria Lyle, of Team East Lothian, sprinted her way to a Silver Medal place in the 100m T35 race at the Common Wealth Games on the Gold Coast, Australia.
Maria has worked incredibly hard since her return to Scotland, and with a change of coach to Jamie Bowie, also a medal winning sprinter, they are obviously a very successful working pair.
Following a few days break after the games, Maria will return to Scotland to continue her studies for her all- important exams coming up over the next few months. As one of our Athletic Ambassadors, we hope you will all see her and get the chance to hopefully see her medal and congratulate her, at some of the forthcoming athletics events here at Meadowmill and around the region.
