Double success for East Lothian at Tennis Scotland awards

Wins in volunteer and tournament of the year categories

Another Ace East Lothian Open

Winners of the Tennis Scotland Awards were announced this week with East Lothian enjoying success in two categories. Lucy bryden, A hands-on organiser of coaching, committee meetings, encouraging new volunteers and working in partnership with local schools at Longniddry Tennis Club has been named as the Volunteer of the year for 2017.

The East Lothian Open is the winner of the prestigious Tennis Scotland Tournament of the Year for 2017, having previously lifted the same title two years ago. The East Lothian Open receives entries in excess of 500 across and runs across four venues – North Berwick, Dunbar, Gullane and Musselburgh. This engages membership at each club whilst allowing them to take ownership of their site during the event.

It is great to see both Lucy and everyone involved with organising the East Lothian Open being rewarded for their continuous hard work. Their contributions are not only felt at Longniddry tennis Club and with the tournament, but across East Lothian Tennis as a whole.
