Dunbar Primary P4s get into the Commonwealth 2014 Spirit

Glasgow 2014

Over the past 6 Thursday after school 25 students in P4 have been taking part in the Active Schools Glasgow 2014 after school club. During the 6weeks the children were given the opportunity to participate in different sports that will be on show at the Commonwealth games.

The children were given the opportunity to try, Hockey, Netball, Badminton and Different Athletic disciplines. One of the most pleasing aspects of the class was that out of the 25 students 19 attend all 6 sessions which goes to show that the Glasgow 2014 is inspiring the youth to try different sport and that the delivery was of a high standard.

However this club would not have gone ahead without Miss Robertson (P4 Teacher). She took the class on and provide excellent coaching and a well-rounded knowledge of all the sports the children took part in.

Active Schools would like to give Miss Robertson a big thank you on giving up her free time after school. If you would like to know more about Active Schools or becoming a coach/ Volunteering please;click on the Hyperlink to contact Gareth Hill (Dunbar Primary Cluster Coordinator)
