Lauren puts PAiS Golfers through their paces

Golf Scholar home for Christmas

2017 Golf PAIS Lauren Loretto

There was a full compliment of nine PAiS golfers in attendance on Monday 4th December at Loretto’s Indoor Golf Academy for the second to last session of the first block of practice sessions.

Loretto’s PGA Pro Scott Grieve continued working with players individually in the putting lab and providing them with feedback from the technology.

Musselburgh Golf Club's Lauren Lee, who is on a golf scholarship at the University of Northwestern Ohio, also kindly joined us and set up a drill that she’s being doing out in the states. The drill required the players to pair up and try to get up and down in one chip and one putt to get a point. Out in the states Lauren has to continue with this drill until she gets 50 points!  This proved quite a challenge and after half an hour we revised the target to 30 points and awarded 5 points for chipping in!  The challenge was finally won by Cameron Spencer and Lewis Hannah.

James Morgan then set up a match play putting competition, which was a great close to a really busy, focused and enjoyable session.   Next week will be the last session of this block and will of course have a Christmas theme!

It’s been a real pleasure to spend time with this group of impressive young golfers.

Many thanks to Lauren for coming along and to PGA Pro Scott Grieve and Loretto Academy for their continued support.
