The Lodge Loop
Sunday 9th December saw the 2nd run of The Lodge Loop in the beautiful setting of the Lodge Gardens, North Berwick.
With over 50 people ranging from 2 years old to over 60, runners, walkers and scooters, this was a fantastic, fun event to attend.
One lap of the gardens is just over 1k and you can choose to do as many or as few as you wish, you can go at your own speed, bring a friend, the children, the dog, your neighbour, your husband or wife, granny or grandpa – this event caters for all. Children can challenge themselves with their Loop The Loop Card where they have a card which gets stamped after
After you have enjoyed a spin around the park you can have a chat over coffee/tea and biscuits or ‘protein bombs’.
I went along myself on Sunday and helped to marshal the route which was great as I had the opportunity to see and chat, briefly, with everyone who came along.
The next Lodge Loop will be on Sunday 23rd December with a Christmas theme – wear your Santa hat or a piece of tinsel to bring a bit of Christmas cheer – Mince Pies will be served after the walk/run. Starting from the Pavilion in the gardens at 11.30am.
