Local Girl Katie Davis wins 2016 English Open Karate
Katie Davis, in Primary 7 at Prestonpans Primary School, won the Karate English Open 2016 tournament. Katie started karate 2 years ago through the Active Schools programme, where she tried a free block of tasters. She is now training 6 days a week and competing all over the UK, placing at nearly every event. There are many like Katie from all over East Lothian who train with Chris Ewing Karate (CEK), if you would like to try a free taster block of karate then check out this Facebook page for the new block starting in May 2017.
