Isla MacInnes Hockey Goal Keeper Extraordinaire
Isla MacInnes in action representing East District in the U18 indoor hockey tournament in February. She did a great job against some very gifted teams and after 2 games she hadn't let a goal in, unfortunately her team were beaten by the eventual winners (midland) of the tournament in the final match, leaving East coming in third overall. Congratulations East District & Isla MacInnes in particular.
Also, Isla and her team (Fjordhus Reivers) secured their place in the U18 Scottish Cup final by winning over Inverleith Hockey Club. A hard fought game ending in a 2 all draw meaning it came down to sudden death penalty strokes putting Isla under pressure, She kept calm and final score 4-3 win. This is the second time Isla has got to the finals and a first ever with this team.
