Scottish FA Advanced Player Centre

The Scottish FA Advanced Player Centre sessions have now opened for players looking to get some extra practice in under the supervision of highly qualified coach and manager James McDonaugh.

The sessions are capped at a maximum of 12 players per session to ensure maximum attention to detail for each individual and they run for blocks of 5 weeks.

Content covered within the sessions looks at 4 main principles Technique, Building Attacks & Finishing, Defending and Counter Attacks, after each session the main objectives are sent to the players parents to explain in more details and how it relates to the moments of the game thus providing ongoing 1 to 1 feedback for each player.

James McDonaugh is an UEFA A, UEFA A Youth License and Scottish FA Children's License holder and is currently sitting his UEFA Pro License qualification the highest coaching award possible for coaches.

James also works as the East Lothian Community Club Coach Officer mentoring coaches and co-ordinators at grassroots club, combining this with Manager of Edinburgh City who are in the SPFL League 2 and he was previously Falkirk FC Assistant Manager, Hibernian FC U20s Manager and Head of Academy coaching.

With a wealth of experience and expertise this is a fantastic opportunity for grassroots players to be coached by someone of this calibre.

The sessions take place as per the below details with more Scottish FA Advanced Player Centres due to be starting up in other areas after Easter.

 

Tuesdays 4pm to 5pm for P4 - P6 / 5pm to 6pm for P7 - S1 at Recreation Park 3G North Berwick

Wednesdays 4pm to 5pm for P4 - P6 / 5pm to 6pm for P7 - S1 at Foresters Park Astro Tranent
