Another Great Event
Wednesday 21st November saw the East Lothian Regional Sportshall Finals 2018. There were 5 schools represented – Prestonpans, The Burgh, Kings Meadow, Dunbar and Windygoul Primary Schools. All the athletes taking part put in 110% effort, not just when they were competing, but also cheering and being supportive when their team mates were competing. There was a really high level of good sportsmanship evident throughout the event.
They competed over track and field events – Relay, Parleuff, Standing Long Jump, Vertical Jump, Standing Triple Jump, Javelin Throw, Basket Ball Throw and Speed Bounce. Working on a points system for each event, both Girls and Boys entering in all events and most definitely working up a sweat!
The final results were very close with Dunbar only just ahead of Kings Meadow which means that they both go through to the Regional Finals on Wednesday 27th Feb 2019 at the Jack Kane Centre Niddrie Mains Rd, Edinburgh EH16 4ND .
A MASSIVE “WELL DONE” to ALL the athletes for taking part and making the morning such a successful and enjoyable event for everyone involved.
A huge thanks to our volunteers and Ambassadors who came along and ran all the stations and managed the scoring and results with great ease!
