Well Done Marianne on your Spotlight Volunteer Win!
Marianne Cooney started with Tranent Active Schools in October 2017 as a parent helper and with the main coach leaving, herself and two senior pupils stepped up to the mark and took the team over as a group. Marianne has since been there every single week and has even taken the squad to two PTS Competitions all by herself.
Marianne has already committed to being involved next year and considering she has never coached before she is excelling and even looking to begin her UKCC Level 1 before the end of this year. The kids love her and the numbers have risen which is no mean feat considering the club almost stopped when the previous coach left.
