Lothian Schools football U18 success
Aaron Hall and Daniel Purves were selected to play for Lothian Schools U18s to play in the group stages of the National trophy, which is played between local authorities around Scotland.
After losing the first match the boys continued to be selected for the squad and had to win their two reamining games to qualify for the quarter-final stages. A win over Paisley set-up a deciding game with Glasgow at Toryglen with a winner takes all to progress to the quarter final.
With the match being tied at 1-1 with five minutes to go, Daniel Purves scored a header to win the match to progress to the quarter-final. They are now set to play Aberdeenshire with the match to be played after Christmas. The boys and the rest of the team have done great to qualify. Preston Lodge as a school are proud and wish the boys good luck in the remainder of the cup.
