Children's University and Active Schools Team up in East Lothian

Collect Children's University credits and gain certificates with Active Schools in East Lothian

Children\'s University

Children’s University gives young people aged 5 to 14 opportunities to take part in exciting, interactive and voluntary learning activities, outside of normal school hours. Young people collect credits and gain certificates while they learn. We hold Children's University graduations, at real grown-up universities, with real caps and gowns. Taking part lets young people explore different learning environments, and become independent and confident learners. We want to raise aspirations, boost achievement and instil a love of learning that will stay with young people throughout their lives.

The after-school or lunchtime club. The local museum. The library, leisure centre, nature reserve, or the local youth club down the road. Learning destinations can be anywhere that a young person can take part in high-quality, fun, innovative and engaging learning experiences.

Active Schools East Lothian provides a massive amount of activities for all and by taking part in the activities young people can gain Learning Credit on their Passport to Learning.
