Pedro Diretinho from Musselburgh Active Schools, wins December's Volunteer of the Month award!

December 2017’s Winner of Volunteer of the Month was Pedro Diretinho who volunteers his time in Active Schools Musselburgh as a football coach.
Originally from Portugal, Pedro and his wife moved over here to experience new cultures and way of life, a new adventure! Having been here for 3 years now they have still yet to acclimatize to the Scottish weather.
Pedro is currently studying an HND in Coaching and Developing Sport at Edinburgh College. Throughout his college career he has gained many coaching qualifications including Early touches which is being put to good use at the Musselburgh Lidl Mini Kickers centre where he has been coaching for 4 months every Tuesday for 5-8 year old children.
Pedro is enthusiastic and passionate about sport and Football in general and inspires the children to become the next Ronaldo. He currently works in the hospitality industry but hopes to make a career in sport once he has finished studying.
