Girls Kwik Cricket Perth 2016

Team effort by East Lothian County Cricket girls in Perth

Gilrs Kwik Cricket Perth 2016

At the once again sunny Doo'cot Park in Perth, the East Lothian County Cricket girls showed off their skills at Cricket Scotland's annual girls kwik cricket festival. This year we had three guest players from Edinburgh Sth/Boroughmuir: Katherine, Chloe and Alex who all played really well - thank you girls and parents for helping us get a full team.

Three games were played of which two were won easily and one was fiercely contested and only just lost, against our friendly rivals from Stew Mel.

Coach Neil McMillan said after the festival that the best thing about the day was that every single player contributed - everyone took a wicket and everyone hit at least one four. Brilliant stuff!

After the presentation of certificates, there was a Q&A with the Scotland Wildcats, our national womens team, who then played a match that many stayed and watched.

Thank you to all the family members and friends that came to watch, it's great for the girls to have support on the sidelines and with the glorious sunshine and the lovely tea, cakes and picnics, what better way to spend a Sunday than watching some excellent girls cricket!
