#MoreThanCricket

In March Cricket Scotland in association with the Sports Marketing Network held the #MoreThanCricket conference at the University of Stirling. This weekend will be the first in a series

#MoreThanCricket

Cricket Scotland and the Sports Marketing Network are trying to help cricket clubs engage and connect with their communities to grow membership, explore avenues of income and build sustainable community driven clubs.

The conference in March was a great success attended by representatives of over 40 cricket clubs from across Scotland and included presentations from inspirational clubs like Tynemouth CC and Spartans Community Football Academy.

Following on from this event there will be six webinars hosted by Cricket Scotland on the following Saturdays at 9.30am. This Saturday, the 22nd April, will see the first webinar going live to Scotland's cricket community:

Becoming a Welcoming and Enterprising Club.

9.30am Saturday 22nd April

40 minutes online with a 20 minutes presentation and 20 minutes of discussion and Questions and Answers.

Clubs that grow tend to be more innovative and proactive, whereas those that adhere to 'the way we do things around here' syndrome, well...so how do you adapt and change your club and provide an environment and experience that people appreciate? The session will also cover how to overcome challenges and exploit opportunities and start taking those baby-steps' which will lead your club to greatness.

The workshop is run by Svend Elkjaer of Sports Marketing Network.  He has great experience and understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing community cricket clubs. To register for the webinar please send an email with the word ‘yes’ to svend@smnuk.com and you will receive  a confirmation and a ‘thought-sheet’ with questions and points for you to ponder before the webinar. You will also receive easy-step instructions on how to log on.
