Secondary Golf Order of Merit Results

Gallagher, Wright and Preston Lodge take gold

2016 Paul Lawrie Archerfield

Congratulations to:

Cameron Gallagher (Preston Lodge HS/Longniddry GC) winner of the Scratch Order of Merit. Cameron, who is still only 14, has reduced his handicap to 4 and is part of the Lothian’s Association Coaching Programme. Cameron also made it to the quarter finals of Scottish Boys’ Amateur Champions in April so its been a great start to his season so far. Cameron beat Cameron Spencer (North Berwick/The Glen GC) into a very close 2nd based on Stableford points.

Fraser Wright (Knox Academy/Dunbar GC) winner of the Handicap Order of Merit. Fraser was the clear winner despite playing in only 3 out of 4 of the events and I’m sure he’ll see his current handicap come crashing down this season. He again beat Cameron Spencer (North Berwick/The Glen GC) into 2nd place.

Preston Lodge High School are the winners of the Team Order of Merit based on overall Stableford points and beating Musselburgh Grammar into a very close 2nd place. This is PL’s 6th win of the overall Team Order of Merit in the 7 years that it has been contested. Well done!
