Steering our way to Activity!

North Berwick Active Schools allows all primary school children within the cluster the opportunity to jump on board the Active Schools rocket-ship and engage on their very own active adventure.    

Navigated by the Active Schools Coordinator, and fuelled by the skills, commitment and enthusiasm of local coaches and volunteers, the Active Schools sport and activity programmes are action packed, with something for everyone.  The primary programmes cater for boys and girls from nursery to Primary 7, and aim to give children the positive experience of sport and activity, needed to ensure they will continue their active journey and travel to an active lifestyle, while offering links to local clubs for those who wish to take it further.

Fancy becoming a co-pilot?  Active Schools are always looking for new crew members to help assist with the delivery of activities.  You do not need to have any coaching experience or qualifications, just enthusiasm to deliver fun and enjoyable sessions.  What’s more, we offer FREE training opportunities and support to give you the skills to deliver successful after school clubs.

We believe that everyone should be able to participate and enjoy sport and physical activity whoever they are and whatever their background. Cost should never stop your child participating in sport and physical activity. If you are worried or concerned about your ability to cover the cost related to *any / the activity your child would like to take part in, please contact your Active Schools Coordinator in confidence.

At Active Schools we are always looking to promote opportunities for our Volunteers and Coaches to access training courses.
