| As a club we believe that it is important that members, coaches, volunteers and parents/guardians should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. The club, formed in the late 1970s – though the courts show on maps of the late 1940s. We have a modest membership of around 40 (about half and half senior to junior membership). However we know that there is far greater potential than this in Musselburgh and are working very proactively to increase our exposure within the town and grow our membership. We are a friendly club focussed on social tennis and open, friendly participation for anyone, of any standard, who wants to play. We hold three annual intra club tournaments – a men’s singles, ladies singles and mixed doubles. Our mixed doubles is made of pairings drawn at random. We also run an annual American Tournament where mixed pairings are drawn on the day and a series of ‘Round Robin’ matches lead to two semi finals and then a final. The tournament, usually held in late August, has built up a regular following of club and external guest players. |
