Be part of something big!

North Berwick Active Schools offers a great variety of opportunities to get involved in sport.  With several teams in rugby, football, hockey, netball and basketball as well as many other activities to try, there really is something for everyone.

Excellent links with local clubs through the Community Sport Hub ensure that pupils have the opportunity to continue their involvement is sport & activity beyond school so that they can enjoy life long participation.

It is thanks to the fantastic volunteers involved in the programme, that the pupils can enjoy such a wide variety of activities that are delivered to a very high standard.

At Active Schools we are always looking to promote opportunities for our Volunteers and Coaches to access training courses.

You can now find the most up to date training information from our Partners & Governing Bodies at the Training For All Page

Reducing Finance as a Barrier to Sport & Physical Activity

Cost should never stop your child participating in sport and physical activity. If you are worried or concerned about your ability to cover the cost related to any activity your child would like to take part in, please contact the Active Schools Co-ordinator listed above to discuss in complete confidence. Any assistance is provided confidentially so that it is not obvious to other individuals that your child is receiving this support.

Active Schools Future Leaders

The Active Schools Future Leaders Programme aims to teach leadership skills to Young People across East Lothian and build the foundations of a leadership pathway through school and beyond.

Your Active Schools Coordinator will be your mentor and support you throughout your leadership journey.

The Programme is designed to develop transferable skills for young leaders and enable other children to be more active and participate in a variety of fun games and activities.

The Future Leaders Booklet at the foot of this page provides a basic framework for the Future Leaders Programme, however there is flexibility for each young person to adapt and tailor the journey with their Active Schools Coordinator as required.

We hope to tailor opportunities for children from Primary 4, throughout their time at primary and secondary school and beyond.

For more information please contact the Active Schools Co-ordinator listed above.

East Lothian Active Schools is jointly funded by East Lothian Council and sportscotland
