Ross High School has offered lots of different sports and physical activities over the last few years, from Archery to Weightlifting, and most things in between.  We encourage our pupils to try new and as varied activities as possible.  We aim to provide lots of opportunities to make new friends and different experiences.

With strong links with local sports clubs such as the Ross High Hockey and Rugby clubs, Tranent Colts FC, the Loch Centre and not to mention with East Lothian Council Sports Development.  We work closely with the Tranent Community Sports Hub as it establishes itself.

We believe that everyone should be able to participate and enjoy sport and physical activity whoever they are and whatever their background.

Cost should never stop your child participating in sport and physical activity. If you are worried or concerned about your ability to cover the cost related to any activity your child would like to take part in, please contact Mark Urwin to discuss in complete confidence. Any assistance is provided confidentially so that it is not obvious to other individuals that your child is receiving this support.

We are always looking to expand our range of activities, and as such are keen to meet with new volunteers, coaches and clubs.  By working together, we hope to provide more opportunities for more of our local pupils.  Currently our Tennis, Netabll and Golf clubs are beginning to establish themselves, and are extremely keen to hear from people how can help support them.

Please come back and keep up to date with all our clubs, perhaps visit our dedicated website Photo Gallery Website.

We look forward to seeing you at the side of our gym’s, courts and pitches, and perhaps on them too!

You can find your eagerly anticipated Ross High Sport Active Schools Timetable of activities and clubs for 2019/20 at the foot of this page.

As always we have great range of activities in place for you to try out, then possibly move onto a club to begin your journey into club and community sport……, if not just take part and have fun as well as keeping fit and healthy while you are at it!
