At Tranent Bowling Club, we are a small but thriving bowling club which was established in 1926. The club operates from the town's public bowling club at Polson Palong with 2 other clubs (EL Labour CLub and Tranent Ladies) all who lease the newly built bowling pavilion from East Lothian Council.

Tranent Bowling Club is one of the few clubs in the country who can boost 2 National Singles Champions, namely Graham Robertson (1986) and John McCrorie (2000).

We also pride ourselves on our friendly and warm environment, which provides a family atmosphere for everyone to enjoy the game of bowls and have fun while doing so.

On the comeptition side of things, Tranent Bowling Club have 2 full Squads, one in Division 1 and another in Division 2. Both squads are very competitive with the Division 1 side always near the top half of the table, while the Division 2 side are newly promoted back into Division 2 and are looking to do what only 1 club has done before - Have 2 teams in Division 1!!

Tranent Bowling Club are now renowned for our hospitality and excellent playing surface, on a nationwide scale, with the National County Championship (also known as the Hamilton Trophy) staging 1 round at our green for the last number of years, most recently some of the highest profile games with East Lothian competing against High Class opposition at the Polson Pavillion.
