Amy Hamilton and Ellie McDonaugh both bring home a Silver Medal at the British Gymnastics Championships
Trampolining within the Tranent Cluster is getting more and more popular as the years go on with the City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club running classes all across East Lothian by working with Active Schools.
Two Tranent girls, who are currently members of the City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club made the Scotland squad after qualifying from their regional sections by competing in various events from January – April this year for their discipline, DMT or Double-Mini Trampoline
After being selected to join 64 other gymnasts across 3 disciplines to make up Team Scotland the girls headed to the Peterborough Arena on Sunday 31st of May to compete in the British Championships.
Both Amy & Ellie competed in DMT at NDP level 1 where Amy was in the aged 9-10 category and Ellie in the aged 13+ category where both girls finished in an incredible 2nd place within their competitions securing them both a British Championships Silver Medal.
Team Scotland also finished with the Silver medal in the Overall standings in the DMT category thanks to the girls efforts!
