North Berwick S1 and S2 girls win hockey tournaments for two consecutive years
Not only did North Berwick High School S1 and S2 girls win the S1 and S2 hockey tournaments in February 2014 but they also successfully defneded these titles from last year.
On Friday 21 February North Berwick won the S1 Girls Hockey Championship. A week later the S2 squad beat 7 other teams to win the S2 trophy. Both tournaments were hotly contested with Dunbar Grammar and Knox Academy coming joint 2nd and 2nd and 3rd respectivley. In the S2 tournament, Dunbar and North Berwick were neck and neck until they played each other. Both teams had goal scoring opportunities but North Berwick took full advantage of theirs and won 2 - 0.
All 6 high schools took part in the event. The senior girls tournament takes place at Meadowmill in April.
