East Lothian rugby coaches recently completed a UKCC level 2 coaching course in Dunbar
There has been a drive in recent times to provide local rugby coaches in East Lothian with the opportunity to develop further by hosting rugby coaches courses within East Lothian. This has resulted in courses being run at various clubs in East Lothian for coaches coaching at various different lervels of the game. There have been UKCC level 1 courses run at North Berwick RFC and Haddington RFC as well as a level 2 coaching course at Ross High RFC.
The latest of these courses was the Dunbar UKCC level 2 course run at Hallhill in Dunbar. Coaches from Preston Lodge, Musselburgh, Dunbar, Haddington and North Berwick benefitted from the course. It is a real credit to commitment of the coaches and their willingness to learn and improve as coaches. This in turn, has a direct impact on the quality of coaching we provide to our players in East Lothian in order to help them reach their potential.
There are many opportunites for rugby coaches in East Lothian to undertake course in East Lothian. These include the UKCC level 1 for coaching mini aged children, the UKCC level two for coaching at all levels of the XV a side game and even an application based UKCC level 3 for performance coaches within the region. Further to this, there are many theme specific workshops that can be organised for clubs and schools at their request.
