Dunbar Grammar School pupil Alastair Campbell continued his successful year by winning another two titles at the recent Scottish Schools U14 Age Group Singles and Doubles Tournament held recently at Wishaw Sports Centre.
In the boys singles Campbell won his first title against Berwickshire High School pupil Eugene Stoke but had to fight hard to lift his first trophy 21/18 16/21 21/12.
Campbell then teamed up with regular partner John Arbuckle (North Berwick High) who was just coming back after a wrist injury but both players took control and comfortably won the boys doubles 21/10 21/11 against Lanarkshire Grammar duo Danny Robson and Calum Strang.
In the girls singles Longniddry’s Cesca Lang (George Heriots) reached the girls singles final where she lost out to Berwickshire High School pupil Kiera Waddell 21/13 21/9.
Lang then teamed up with Naomi Branford (St Joseph’s) where she got her revenge by winning the girls doubles title against Kiera Waddell and Molly MacDonald (Berwickshire High) 21/8 21/11.
