DGS Student off the Milan to represent GB
Active East Lothian would like to extend many congratulations to Eve Smith-Lang, a pupil at Dunbar Grammar School, who has been selected to represent GB Wakeboarding in the upcoming European Championships. Eve got here first taste of Wakeboarding in Primary 4 when she attended an Active Schools Total Adventure Wakeboarding block. Her commitment since has seen her winning 2 national U15 titles in 2016 and 2017 and Eve is now looking forward to August when she travels to Milan to represent Team GB in the European Championships. Eve received official confirmation that she has been selected for the GB Squad on Tuesday 29th May.
This is a great honour for Eve and just reward for all the hard work she has put in over the last 4 years. Active Schools and Active East Lothian would also like to extend huge congratulations to Foxlakes Adventure who’s guidance and tuition has been key to this success. Without the partnership between Active Schools and Foxlake Adventures Eve would never had the opportunity to participate in the sport of Wakeboarding.
