Golf and Tennis on course and set for summer

⛳️ v 🎾 this morning at Pinkie PS

Development officers Kate Green (golf) and Tom Swan (tennis) have embarked on a new initiative, which sees the two sports working together to deliver sessions during school curriculum time. The first school to take part were Pinkie St Peters in Musselburgh on a sunny Friday morning. The Primary 5 year group were split into 4 groups and each enjoyed a 45 minute golf session and a 45 minute tennis session. By having the two sports running sessions alongside each other it doesn't only give the children the chance to experience both sports, it gives the development officers the opportunity to work with smaller numbers of players, allowing more time on task whilst also offering better quality provision.

Following on from the success of the Pinkie St Peters visit, over the coming week Kate and Tom will be delivering sessions in St Martins and Cockenzie primary schools.
