Swimmers prepare for Scottish School Finals

Swimmers throughout the county achieve consideration times for Scottish School finals

Over the past few months, swimmers have been competing at time trials to make the cut for the Scottish School finals.

The time trials take place in each region, with East Lothian teaming up with the Borders to provide a more competitive atmosphere for the swimmers. From the time trials in November, we had a number make the consideration times for the Scottish School finals which are held on Saturday 30^th January at Tollcross, Glasgow.

Last year we had 13 swimmers from the county compete for their school. This year we had 39 swimmers make the consideration times, with 28 being selected to race in the meet and some swimming multiple events. This is a fantastic increase and one of the few opportunities swimmers have to represent their school.

 

Well done to the swimmers that achieved the consideration times!
