Celebrating the past and present achievements of DGS pupils.
The 2011/12 academic year has been a success for Dunbar Grammar School with teams winning local and district events, and punching above their weight in national competitions. Individuals excelled and went on to represent at district and national level, as well as winning national and world titles. As a result of this, it was felt that this needed to be remembered and celebrated but also used to inspire and motivate individuals and teams for the years ahead.
One of the ways it was decided to recognize last year’s achievements was to create a wall of fame along the PE corridor. This wall of fame will not only celebrate past achievements but will also commend achievements and participation in alternative sport and physical activity. In addition it is hoped it will encourage pupils to take part in both traditional and untraditional sports. Dunbar Grammar School is encouraging all pupils to come forward and celebrate and give others an opportunity to get involved and be part of something big – Sport!
