Wilson and Lucas take top spots at Longniddry

and top the Junior Golf Fun Competition Order of Merit table

The first junior golf stroke play competition of the season was kindly hosted by Longniddry Golf Club on Friday 6^th May. 

There was a good entry of 23 players - 11 in the handicap division and 12 in the non handicap division.

The competition was again played in two divisions:

1. Handicap Division: players with official handicaps or that have completed a Stephen Gallacher Flag event in 36 shots of less.
2. Non Handicap Division = players without official handicaps and haven’t yet broken 36 shots

Congratulations to the following players:

Handicap Winner:  Archie Wilson (Gullane) who shot 43 over 9 holes from the yellow tees and beat fellow Gullane player Jamie O’Connor into second place. Archie has now resecured his place at the top of the Order of Merit.

Non-Handicap Winner:  Jack Lucas (Gullane) who shot a fantastic 28 over 6 holes despite a 7 at the first. Coming in a close second was first time fun competition entrant Adam Nichol (Longniddry) who shot a 31.

Nearest the pin:  Well done Harris Weir (Longniddry) who won nearest the pin at the 6^th out of both divisions.  Great effort Harris who was another first time fun competition entrant.
