Top Seeds win mens Doubles at Denmark International
Scotland’s Paul Van Rietvelde and England’s Marcus Ellis lived up to their top seeding by lifting the men’s doubles title at the Forza Denmark International in Frederikshaven.
The Anglo-Scottish pair took the title with a battling 25-23 16-21 21-19 victory over unseeded Danish pair Anders Skaarup Rasmussen and Kim Astrup in the final lasting 59 minutes. The victory also comes at a timely boost for Van Rietvelde as he joins the Scotland squad to compete in the Sudirman Cup mixed team championships in Kuala Lumpur from the 19th – 26th May.
