Tennis Scotlands 'Tournament of the Year' 2011
Welcome to the East Lothian Open Tennis Tournament
With 32 events, over 400 competitors and 800 matches played over 7 busy days the East Lothian Open Tennis Tournament is one of the largest Open Tennis Tournaments in Scotland.
The Tournament began in 1920 and in 2012 will reach its 83rd year. The event has greatly increased in popularity and games are now played at 2 venues – North Berwick Tennis Club and Dunbar Tennis Club. New for this year is the addition of a Wheelchair Tennis event. To add to the fun of the week, there are a variety of social events late into the evening ranging from a pub quiz to family putting.
Entries are welcome in categories ranging from children singles under 8s to Men’s over 45s Doubles. Players don’t have to be affiliated to a tennis club but need to be a member of British Tennis. Children aged 8 and under along with Members of registered clubs, parks and other places to play receive free membership to British Tennis. Entrance is free to spectators and they are welcome at all games.
The 83rd East Lothian Open Tennis Tournament starts on Sunday 22nd July, building to finals day on Saturday 28th July.

The East Lothian Open Tennis Tournament is more than just a tennis tournament! A range of evening events are hosted each night:
Monday 23rd July
Welcome Cheese and Wine evening at North Berwick Tennis Club. It is a great opportunity for competitors to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
Tuesday 24th July
Quiz Night at the Glen Golf Club, North Berwick. Teams battle it out to become Quiz Champions 2012 in this popular event. 12 year+
Wednesday 25th July
Family Putting competition and Paella at North Berwick Tennis Club. Prizes available for the top scoring teams.

Mixed Open Boys and Girls Finals Night with Pimms and Nibbles. Enjoy Pimms in the Sunshine (hopefully!) and watch some nail biting finals action.
Saturday 28th July
FINALS DAY at North Berwick Tennis Club. Who will be crowned the 2012 tournament winners? Action starts at 1pm.
