Murray Duncanson & team set up another great community occassion as part of NBRFC RugbyForce

NBRFC Touch Tournament

The Edington Centenary Mixed touch Tournament held at North Berwick Rugby Club was a great success with all participants enjoying themselves through the day. It was another unique chance for all members of the community to participate together proving being active and involved in sport is not limited to the few.

North Berwick Rugby Football Club stalwarts, (under the name of Touch my Pass) Grant Spence, Connor Johnston, Jamie Armstrong and club coach Rhodri Thomas were very ably joined by Sue and Kari Spence,Evie Thomas,Rachel Hamilton and Milan Stewart and were successful in winning the Edington Centenary Touch Trophy, with victory in all four of their matches. Hoggsquad came second with last year's winners Worn Oot Pants third.

Many congratulations to the winners for a series of outstanding performances.

Our thanks must be recorded to Chris Paterson for his very professional and enthusiastic arranging of the event and to his mother in law Jean who kindly provided teas for some very tired players and spectators. Thanks also to Tony Millar and John Walczak for clubhouse and changing room facilities.

Once again this event proved to be very successful where it was great to see young and old members of the community competing so enthusiastically with fun and good sportsmanship to the fore.
