Another Triumph for Maria and Jamie
Following their Conference and AGM on Sunday 27th September, Scottish Disability Sport https://www.scottishdisabilitysport.com/ held their 2020 awards ceremony. With a bit of a difference from years gone by, all this happened with thanks to technology and was all online. Best social distancing ever at a conference!
There were many awards presented to people from across Scotland who have gone above and beyond in the world of Disability Sports. Amongst those awarded great accolades were our very own Maria Lyle, Athlete of the Year; and Jamie Bowie, Performance Coach of the Year.
Both of them are very deserving of their awards for the hard work, patience and dedication the put in to the sport of Athletics, both on and off the track.
Maria has been working with the Team East Lothian Race Running Squad in her ‘spare time’, and Jamie has put in a mountain of effort with TEL since its beginnings.
We are very, very proud of them both and send our Congratulations to them from EnjoyLeisure and East Lothian Council
