Badminton Success
The Mid and East Lothian badminton team at the Scottish Schools’ Primary Championships comprised completely of East Lothian youngsters – Rachel Cameron (Stoneyhill), Kirsty Morrison (Aberlady), John Arbuckle, James Guckian and Ross Mcfarlane (Law), Alastair Campbell (Dunbar),
were all P7 pupils plus Emma Lessels, Archie Bryden, P6 and Freya Morris P5 all from Longniddry Primary.
Together they made a great little team and battled their way through match after match as results proved and took a number of games from players who were much higher ranked and had more tournament experience.
First opponents were Glasgow who they beat 4 – 1, followed by wins over Renfrew 5 – 0,
Borders 4 -1, Lanarkshire 5 – 0, and North East 4 -1.
Last but not least was Edinburgh who they beat 3 -2 to top the board and take the Scottish Primary Inter-Area Title and Shield back to our County.
