North Berwick Annual Sea Swim

North Berwick Swimming Club held its annual sea swim last week to mark the end of another season. The older swimmers (age 10 years and up) are able to take part in this event, whilst the youngsters have a fun session in the pool.

This year 48 swimmers partcipated in the sea swim, which starts at the Old Pier and finishes at the South Bay. Despite the chilly water, all the swimmers had great fun and is an excellent opportunity for swimmers to experience open water swimming. THis event would not go ahead without the various coaches, committee members and parents that help make it possible. From swimming in boats alongside to making hot drinks at the end, it truly is a team effort!

Several end of year award were presented, as well as badges and technique awards. Winners were -

Ensurance - Robbie Anderson

Capability - Isla Sinnot

Effort and Endeavour - Jennifer Williamson, Thomas Fox and Rebecca Kinnie
