and the Secondary School Golf Order of Merit
The third event of the 2015/16 East Lothian Secondary Schools Golf Order of Merit was kindly hosted by Longniddry Golf Club on Fri 18th March 2016.
Congratulations to Cameron Spencer (North Berwick HS/The Glen GC) who won the Scratch Division with 34 points and beating home players and fellow Lothian’s squad players Cameron Gallagher and Jonny Pryde (P Lodge HS/Longniddry GC) into second place by one point.
Congratulations also to Fraser Wright (Knox Academy/Dunbar GC) who won the Handicap Division with 45 points.
The team competition was won by Preston Lodge HS with 114 points (3 best net scores combined) the 3 best being Cameron Gallagher, Jamie Gallagher and James Morgan.
The Stableford format gives golfers with handicaps, low or high, the opportunity to represent their school. All the Order of Merit events count towards handicap, offering players a chance to get cards in early in the season and play some fantastic golf courses free of charge.
