Active Schools were pleased to run the first ever surf skate programme in Scotland through Coast to Coast Surf School.

Coast to Coast’s surf schools new surf skate programme was a great way for children to perfect their dynamic board skills on land before hitting the surf! There was a wide range of skateboards from carving boards through to 6ft 6 longboard skateboards. The courses was spread over 4 sessions of 45minutes, working on technical balance, carving and surf skills!

Sam from Coast to Coast Surf School “ Coast to Coast where super stoked with the positive reaction to our first “Surf Skate” course where kids learned skills from a simple introduction to skateboarding on day 1 through to pretty dynamic balance and turning movements on our carver skateboards by day 4. It was awesome to watch and the reaction from the kids was really positive with great feedback and buzz about surf skate! We look forward to adding some aspects of this course to our summer active schools surfing programme and also will run again next Autumn/Winter!”

“the most fun ever” quote from one of the kids!
