Swimmers make a splash in the pool!!

East Lothian Disability Swimming Club successful in their first competitive meet

Five local children from the East Lothian Disability Swimming Club were overjoyed at their success at the recent Lothian Disability Gala.

For Blair Darling and Claire Davis, this was their first competitive meet and overcame the nerves to swim personal best times in all their events.

Alexander Doctor chose to swim events that he hadnt competed in before, again swimming personal best times in all his races.

Matthew Burns and Carlos Williams also swam well, beating their previous best times.

The excitment continued for Blair and Alexander. Their results from this meet meant they were put forward for the trials for the Special Olympics, training with the Lothian Squads! Well done boys!

Coach Richard Ralston was very proud of all his swimmers that participated and now it's back to training!

The East Lothian Disability Swimming Club trains at Musselburgh Sports Centre on Tuesday evenings from 6.30 - 7.30pm. Please contact Musselburgh Sports Centre for more details or email swimming@enjoyleisure.com
