Team East Lothian perform well at Scottish Athletics Indoor League in new Emirates Arena
Athletes from Team East Lothian took advantage of the spectacular new venue for indoor athletics in Glasgow last weekend, with some fine performances at the world-class Emirates Arena. An 18-strong team competed at the third and final match of the Scottish Athletics Indoor League, where a number of athletes made new personal bests in the stunning Arena.
The Under-17 Girls team finished 4th overall in the league, only a few points from claiming a place in the final. With Gemma Bolton, Beth Howard, Elizabeth Musgrove, Emily Wilson-Beales and Katie Boston forming the Team East Lothian side.
The top East Lothian perforamnces durign the match came from Elizabeth Musgrove (North Beriwck HS) who won the 400m in an impressive 59.5sec, in her first attempt at the event. Jake Roulstone (North Beriwck HS) also won his 400m race in a new personal best time!
Well done to all the Team East Lothian athletes on some fine performances!
