First Adult Swim Series Event in East Lothian
Last month was the first Adult Swim Series event to be held in East Lothian.
The Adult Swim series, set up by Scottish Swimming provides opportunities for adults of all abilities to access a coached swimming session. The events are held around the country, with the first East Lothian event held at Musselburgh Sports Centre on March 13th 2016.
The classes are split into beginner, intermediate and the masterclass levels to enable adults to swim with other adults of a similar ability. The focus of the session was Frontcrawl, with the stroke being looked at in great detail and covering all the technical aspects of the stroke.
The Masterclass was coached by ex swimmer and Commonwealth Gold Medallist David Carry. David brought a great wealth of knowledge and also jumped in the pool to provide a few demonstrations for our swimmers!
With 21 adults attending, the event was a great success with the swimmers well and truly exhausted and full of advice and tips for the future!
